MARPAL brand Marine Insulation materials were purposely developed for easy onboard application and efficient results.
MARPAL materials are specially designed for easy and fast installation on board Pleasure Yachts, Fast boats,
Sailling boats, Work boats, Fishing vessels, Navy and Coast Guard craft, etc.
MARPAL materials are used for new buildings as well as for modification and upgrading of existing vessels and consist the following grades:
MARPAL materials excel in their human engineering and physical properties and features:
Double Acoustic Barrier
- MARPAL-A, efficent nulti layer construction (see Fig.1)
Decorative Appearance
- Decorative and pleasant appearance, may be installed without any exterior cover or
protection.
Mechanically Protected Surface
- A protective mesh is embossed on the surface, to protect against mechanical
impact.
Easy & Fast Application
- The material is easily cut to requierd shape.
Its flexibility allows efficent and precise laying, including rounded corners.
Non absorbent / Easy Cleaning.
- Surface does not absorb any liquid, easily cleaned, maintains clean & pleasant
appearance.
Fuel / Oil resistant
- Resists and will not absorb, any kind of ship fuel and oil.
Fire standards compliance
- Non-flammable and Self-extinguishing.
Complies to: French M1 fire standard.
American standard UL-484/6294
German standard DIN 4102/1
MARPAL-A
Construction:
Combination of multiple acoustic barriers and noise-absorbent materials.
Excellent acoustic properties on a wide noise spectrum.
Designated use:
Isolate noise genrating sources on board like Engine and Equipment rooms.
Isolate selected compartments, from penetration of external noise.
Keeping noise at acceptable levels by health regulations and laws.
Purpose:
Complaince with public health regulatins - for manned areas on-board.
MARPAL-A is superior in its ease of application, decorative and pleasant appearance and mechanical protection.
It can be installed with no exterior coating of any kind, saving labour and additional weight. Will not absorb liquids through its exposed surface, is easily cleaned and resists oils and fuels.
Stabdard dimentions: 1X1 meter (40"X40"). Standard thickness: 56mm. weight: 1.13 grm/cm2

MARPAL-T
Construction:
Closed cell insulation material with decorative and mechanical protectin finish.
Designated use:
Beneath deck, air-conditioning systems and ducts, hull sides.
Purpose:
Effective and safe thermal insulation for onboard applications.
MARPAL-T advantages are in its ease of use, decorative and pleasant appearance and mechanical surface protection. It can be installed with no exterior coating of any kind, saving weight and labour. it does not absorb liquids, is easily cleaned, resists oils and fuels, non-flammable and floats in water.
Standard dimenstions are: 2X1 meters (80"X40"). Standard thickness: 10, 25, 50 mm.
MARPAL-0
MARPAL-0 is identical to MARPAL-T by characteristics but does not have a decorative and mechanical surface protection.
Surface is recommended for use beneath or behind decorative panelling.
