Passive cathodic protection
A popular means to protect ships and small vessels against the phenomena of Galvanic Corrosion.
It used standard size sacrificial anodes, made of lower potential alloys, containing Magnesium, Zinc or Aluminum.
This is a low-cost solution to protect marine vessels against Galvanic Corrosion - but requires renewal of the anodes periodically.
